An interesting fact from the book “My Brother, Salvatore Giuliano” written by his sister Giuseppe Sciortino Giuliano, Marianna Giuliano. There was an old rite in Sicily – “blood brother”, when two men made a cut on the left forearm, one incision was placed over the other “mixing the blood,” afterwards two men vowed each other in eternal devotion. This ceremony was held by Salvatore (Turridu) Giuliano with his friend Gaspare Pisciotta. On the photo Salvatore Giuliano, with his “blood brother” Gaspare Pisciotta and Salvatore Passatempo.
